Nataraj
— Lavanya Kasibhatla
Shiva, when you dance
on the star-studded sky,
Planets become anklet bells
and comets fly.
Your cosmic dance
makes the world go round.
The moon waxes and wanes,
watching you spellbound.
The world goes on,
oblivious of your presence,
Trying to find bliss
in worldly things of no essence.
I bow down to touch your feet
with reverence and cry,
I see you dance to my heartbeat
in my mind’s eye.
Shiva, when you dance
on the star-studded sky,
Planets become anklet bells
and comets fly.
